The group meets on the second Thursday of the month at 2.00pm at Codsall Library.

John or Tess will then get back to you to discuss what we get up.
We usually choose a writing prompt from a pre-prepared list. One of our recent prompts was : a chance remark.
This resulted in writings ranging from a childhood memory of confused words to an adopted child’s story. We also heard of goings-on at the Hotel Mongolia, followed by an incident on Hadrian’s Wall. There were also a couple of humorous poems and we finished with advice on whether a horse is better than a motor-bike if you want to relive a misspent youth.

At the u3a monthly meeting on 28 October, at Springdale Church Hall, the Creative Writing Group read out a selection of their writings. I personally thought it was an excellent session, and we seemed to get a positive reaction from the wider audience too. So well done to Tess, Sandra, Sue and Alan for sharing your poems. I hope we will be invited back!
