The Latin language has had a profound effect on European culture for over two thousand years. It gave us our alphabet. Five major languages are directly descended from it. Even in English more than half of our vocabulary comes from Latin. 

This group is aimed at people who have never studied Latin before, or have forgotten all they ever knew. You will learn to read and speak Latin and gain an insight into the fascinating culture of ancient Rome. You will also understand your own language better by tracing it back to its roots.
